Pour at the taproom. Served chilled in a nonic glass.
Medium amber colored body. Off white head. Leaves behind filmy sheets of lacing.
Smells of darkly toasted malted grain.
Taste is darkly toasted malted grain with flavors of brown bread and a little chocolate, with a metallic note.
Medium mouthfeel. Rather crisp finish, but smooth throughout. Very good carbonation.
Brown bread in a glass.

Poured from a 12 ounce can into a Royal Gorge souvenir pint glass. Appearance is brownish red and clear. Not a lot of haze. Tan head only sticks around briefly leaving a little lacing.
Smells grassy, a little chocolatey with some breadiness.
Taste is also bread-like with a chocolate finish. Not a lot of hops here, true to style.
I was in the mood for a Dunkel, specifically and tried this because it’s local. I would drink it again. Recommended.

Pours a ruddy brown with some hazy & a thumb+ of tan head. Nice lacing & average head retention
S: Brown bread, a touch of yeastyness
T: Follows the nose, plenty of dryness, a touch of Baker's Chocolate as well & just a kiss peppery yeast up front. Dryness, more brown bread, & Baker's Chocolate as this warms. Finishes with dryness, brown bread, a little raisin & just a little Baker's Chocolate
MF: Medium body, restrained carbonation
True to style, pretty solid

Beer pours a dark brown with a cream colored head. The smell is malts, caramel and molasses. The flavor is sweet caramel and malty goodness. Feel has just a tad more carbonation than it needs but overall a damn good Dunkel!
