Pours an effervescent chestnut with one finger of tan head. Murks up as the bottle drains, near zero head retention & lacing
S: Peaty, a little figgyness, sustains throughout. Peatyness takes over as the beer warms, best feature of this beer
T: Follows the nose, barrel dryness, leafy hops up front. More peatyness, a little Whisky barrel dryness & whispers of booze as this warms
MF: Medium body skewing towards chewy, very subtle carbonation. Once warm the body thins out a bit. Finishes bone dry, peaty & with just a little jammyness
A nice try, but this really doesn't pull together for me. I think a beefier malt bill would've served this beer better
