Poured from a can into a pilsner glass. Tan head lingers leaving good lacing. Smells of bready malts and some fruitiness. Color is a hazy copper. The haze and the not unpleasant yeast smell make me think this is unfiltered but I could be wrong.
Taste is of caramel malt, toast, possibly some rye (again, I could be wrong), then closes strong with a nice hoppy finish that balances this beer out. This has a good punch at 6.5 ABV and there's enough flavor here to stand up to spicy foods like pad Thai smothered in sriracha or a 4 alarm chili.
Would recommend, would drink again. This is good ale.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a pretty, dark amber color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of malts, some hops. Taste is hops up front, caramel malts at the finish, balanced and tasty. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a good quality beer.

On tap. Massive tan head on top of a dark red body that was hazy at top and clear at the bottom. The head receded super slowly leaving solid lacing all the way to the bottom of the glass. Aroma of hops and pine, but no aromas of malt or sweetness. Hoppy upfront with hints of underwhelming malts in the middle before a bitter finish. It tasted like it smelled. It was actually smooth and surprisingly drinkable despite the bitterness. Medium carbonation and body with a crisp finish. Overall, it's alright. Definitely more hoppy ale than red ale.
