Appearance: Bronze colored body with an orange hue. A good amount of cream colored head with very nice lacing.
Smell: The hops and the rye really work well in the aroma. Grapefruit, floral and pepper are some of the noticeable esters in this beer.
Taste: This beer is a roller coaster of flavor it is up and down in every sip. At first it tastes like candy sugar. Then great floral and citrus tones. I would have thought there we Citra’s in there but there wasn’t. The blend of Centennial, Cascade and Columbus hops were great but this beer finished with an aftertaste that was like dish soap.
Mouthfeel: It was medium with plenty of bite.
Overall: I would have enjoyed this beer a great deal if it had not tasted like I was getting my mouth washed out at the end.
