Poured a jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It smelled of chocolate, roasted malt and toffee. Nice bittersweet chocolate taste with some toasty caramel and toffee.

Appearance: Very dark brown with a lighter brown hue. Great tan head and lace. There is a lot of staying power.

Smell: Strong roasted malt tones with some caramel sweet punch. Kind of like a cereal.

Taste: Roasty but not overdone, lots of chocolate and caramel malt characteristics. Bitterness with some bite comes from the good use of hops and the dark chocolate malt.

Mouthfeel: Full flavored and full bodied.

Overall: I liked it. There were very good balances of flavors.
