Named for the Landwehr family who originally owned and operated a dairy in our current location. Our milk stout is smooth and dark in color. It is roasted with malty, flavorful hints of chocolate and has a sweet finish from the milk sugar.

Poured a jet black color with a small, tan head of foam. It smelled of chocolate and some sweetness. Good dark chocolate taste with some creamy sweetness and a hint of vanilla.

Pours a clear, dark brown color. 1/3 inch head of an off-tan color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of sweet malt, hint of roasted malt, dry hop, and a hint of chocolate. Fits the style of a Milk / Sweet Stout. Mouth feel is smooth and creamy, with a low carbonation level. Tastes of sweet malt, hint of chocolate, oatmeal, slight roasted malt, and slight dry hop. Overall, great appearance and feel, with a good blend. The sweetness level is too high for a beer with a slightly weaker body.
