Had bottle at brewery while using their services to make a batch of Belgiiun Old Bruin.
A: pours copper color with pillowy off white head which fades quickly.
S: Not much going on. A little boozy on the nose with some light caramel and orange. A faint bourbon boozy smell in the back.
T/M: A little boozy and sweet. Fairly high amount of carbonation. Initial taste of orange and caramel. Fades with a bitter off old beer taste. Initial flavor is good but finishes with a weird off old shoe taste.
D: decent beer but not something i would buy.

Shared a bottle of this with my friend and enjoyed it, but there were some flaws in the beer that prevented me from wanting more.
Though we bought a bottle of this, the bartender kindly poured it into two small (~ 8oz.) snifter glasses. The beer appeared a dark, rustic brown with a weak cream colored head that plenty of bubbles gracing the surface. Aromas of figs, plums, alcohol, burnt rubber, and hard candy were detectable; very interesting and unique. The taste was much sweeter than the nose would have suggested with slow roasted malt flavors coming out nicely. Very much like a barleywine in texture and flavor profile. Juicy fruit flavors added depth and complexity. After a few sips, the sweetness of the beer began to overwhelm my mouth, becoming cloying and too dominant. As a result, the drinkability is relatively low for this one despite the great flavors and interesting aromas.
