The best beer I had at the brewery. A blackish body with a large head and frothy lacings. A bready, oaky smell that dominated the nostrils and the tastebuds as well. A thickish stout body passes over the tongue with a good hoppy backbite that leaves a dry finish but one that is balanced and not overpowering There are roasted malts, as well as coffee and maybe chocolate that combine with the oak to make a great tasting beer and one that I could session anytime up at the brewery (unless I find out the ABV is real high).
