Poured into a weizen glass.
3.0 A: Hazy dark yellow color. One finger of frothy white head that didn't stick around very long and left no lacing.
4.0 S: Nice mixture of clove, banana, and pepper. Pretty good, but there is a weird dirty yeastiness to it that I'm not a big fan off.
4.0 T: I'm not sure if they were going for this, but this has a Berliner weiss sourness to it. Indeed it tastes more like that than a hefe...and I like it. Clove is next strongest, followed by banana, pepper, and orange peel.
3.5 M: Lighter medium body. Carbonation is quite low for the style. Otherwise smooth.
4.0 D: Not too bad, though the taste might be a mistake. This was a very good beer to start the night with.

Served in a shaker pint glass.
I always enjoy trying new things at Shenandoah. This one pours a hazy orange amber topped by a half-finger of white micro-foam, which didn't hang around very long. The nose comprises oranges, wheat, and some ruby red grapefruit. The taste holds notes of orange peel, wheat, banana, and clove. The body is a light medium, with a light carbonation and a rather refreshing feel. Overall, a surprisingly solid hefe. Somebody's gonna be getting a bottle o' this as an extra some day...
