The best of the Bahamian beers I've tried. Could possibly be the best of the marco styled lagers I've had. Very suprised and impressed with this beer.
Pale yellow in color with a 2 finger but quickly fading head. Little lace clings to the sides of the glass.
Candy malt aroma and a bit of fresh cut grass. There's actually a bit of hop aroma in this beer.
Pretty typical macro lager flavor with a bit of green apple and some other fruity flavors. Think green apple juicy fruit gum. These flavors are not over bearing and just kind of linger in the background. Very crisp dry finish.
This is my choice beer for sitting on the white sand and starring at the crystal clear blue water at the Bahamas.

This is a crisp and refreshing lager. The smell is of floral hops, grass, grain and caramel malt. Taste is pretty good with some caramel malt and floral hops again. I really enjoyed this beer when I was at my uncle's place in the Bahama's. A lager that knocks Kaliks's butt out of the water. As far as Caribbean lagers go, this might be the best.

Let me say first that I am not a lager fan and do not look forward to my beers when in the Caribbean. Yet of all of the the three beers I tried while in Grand Bahama, Lucayan would have to be the best, more body and flavor than Sands (second) and Kalik (third).

I'm not a big Kalik fan so I wanted to try something new while on vacation in the Bahamas. Maybe it was because I was expecting the worst, but I was pleasantly surprised. I hope to drink more of these. Nice flavor with a hint of hops. It went well with a meal of fresh grilled snapper, and I would recommend trying it if you are ever in the Bahamas and can find it.

Surprisingly good for a "local" beer. I was expecting more of a Kalik-style Bud rip-off but this was actually a smooth and tasty beer. While nothing special, it is worth trying if you are in the Bahamas.
