Standard brown half liter bottle with a fairly plain white label with black, red and yellow printing. The name means "amber". Sugar is an ingredient. Best before 8/4/04, I opened it on 5/1/04.
Pours a clear ever so slightly orange gold under a one finger white head that settles quickly, leaving no lace. The nose consists of slightly sour malt. The mouth is very prickly and medium bodied. The taste is distinctly sour malt, a bit like bad watermelon. There a touch of hoppy bitterness in the finish, more metallic than flowery. Not a horrible beer, but a far cry from good, too.
