Found in Moscow's biggest discount grocer, the green half liter bottle sports a long neck and a silver and green label featuring little more than the words. Ingredients conform to the purity law. Best before 6/14/06, I opened it on 2/24/06.
Pours clear solid gold under a very short-lived one finger white head that can barely muster collar, much less lace. The nose is skunky on the pour, but settles to essentially nothing, maybe just a hint of lemon. The mouth is light and prickly. The taste is thin, with a bit of lemony grain and a touch of slightly bitter, slightly dry hops. Very forgetable.
