Clear with a slight haze, dark amber/caramel color with moderate activity. Foamy and slightly creamy beige 3 finger head, lasting around 10-15 minutes, with average legs. Flavors of smoke, bacon, barley, caramel, nutmeg, salt, raisins, and floral hops. Slick and soft oily medium body with prickly carbonation and a soft crisp. Medium strength finish, grainy and toffee feel, light coffee and leaves, with a moderately smoked effect that is more balanced as a Marzen or red lager so it makes a nice American interpretation. Some brown sugar and gingerbread, more sugary than usual. Notes of cheese as more yeast is poured. Decent freshness. Overall very good quality craft.

Light brown in color with a nice off-white head.
Amazing smoke aroma, definitely smells like what a Rauchbier should smell like.
In the mouth I gotta admit that it's really close to the orginal Aecth Schlenkerla. Lots of smoke.
It's close to the original but not as good.
