Alas... this was a bad bottle. Huge glass o' foam starts things off, although otherwise it's an ok amber brown hue with a bit of haze.

Aroma is primarily bready and caramel malt notes, toasted and maybe a hint of cocoa.

On the palate this seems like it might have been ok fresh on draft or right after bottling, there's a really solid malt base in here with some nice laters of toast and bread and caramel with a hint of milk chocolate... unfortunately it's marred by excessive oxidation (heavy wet carboard) and an off putting rusty bitterness.

Mouthfeel had thinned out a bit, but was still ok (probably from the excess of carbonation, although it wasn't too prickly).

Not undrinkable, but nothing I'd like to revisit. They seem like a young brewery, hopefully they'll tidy up the ship a bit.

Acquired from the Indiana Brewers pack from World Class Beverages. This beer was poured gently into a nonic glass. Color was amber/copper with a white head that filled the entire glass. This is the second beer out of this pack from Wabash that took me some time to pour because the head filled the glass when the actual beer was only about a third of the way poured, this is not a desired outcome. The taste is overwhelmed by a smoky aftertaste that is also not desirable.

Everything said so far is right on.

This is a well-balanced amber beer with a distinct British flavor. The malt and yeast notes are both of Maris Otter (British pale malt) and British Yeast.

I am very surprised by the drinkability and the British flavors, because being an Indiana brewery and having "harvest" in the name, I get an American vibe. Not much american anything in this brew with the exception of maybe hops. That is less a criticism of the beer and more of the marketing.

Only negative is a slight metallic, bitter taste in there somewhere, but overall it only dings the beer a little bit.

Amber coppery colored with lots of suspended yeast particles. Medium smooth head with minimal retention and lacing. Mild caramel malt smell with the faintest hop aroma. Dark malty flavors of coffee, oaky caramel and a mild hop to balance.Nice chewy mouthfeel and highly drinkable. A fine beer and worth trying if you are a fan of the style.

Pours a nice dark amber color with just a bit of head. Nice malty scent, although it's very slight (not strong), and has a little hint of sourness, like an Irish red. Very nice taste, very well balanced, it goes back and forth between hits of malty sweetness and bits of hoppy bitterness in the same mouthfull; there are also little hints of butterscotch and caramel; for the most part, though, it is a nice deep malty beer. It goes down fairly smooth, with a nice slightly English hop aftertaste. A very nice made amber ale.

This beer was poured into an Imperial pint glass at 47° with an off white head. Neither the bottle nor label contained any date information. The beer was light brown (amber) in color and clear.

There was yeast and malt which was almost citric in aroma. The malt was not quite dark roasted but had a very interesting homebrew quality about it which I enjoyed.

The taste was dry with barley quite noticeable as you opened your mouth to sip. The slight sweetness came about later and made for an interesting taste as the beer warmed. Taste thinned out with time.

The beer left a cider like quality in the middle of the tongue. The barley went over to the sides of the mouth with carbonation perking up the tip of the tongue.

I was surprised by the aroma and taste as this is what I would describe as a Barley Pop without the overdone carbonation. There is just enough here to keep it interesting.
