Pours a deep brown, almost black, with some ruby hues and a decent sized tan head. Pretty good retention and very nice lacing. Served in a pint glass - No frosted mug!!
Aroma of toffee, caramel, cocoa, and light coffee. Hops are faint and mild.
Creamy and malty - dark chocolate & mild coffee dominate the flavor. Some caramel and toffee comes in next. Finishes slightly dry with another dose of roasted coffee beans that lingers.
Medium in body, super smooth and creamy. I was here during happy hour and had 2 - I could easily have had a couple more. Great flavor and drinkabilty - very sessionable. A nice surprise as I wasn't expecting to be impressed from Hops.
