Poured and swirled aggressively, this ends up relatively hazy, a bright yellow-to-amber hue with fine carbonation and a fizzling head of white. Very fine bead when tilted, and the body looks solid. Not bad, apart from the head.

Nose is mild and slightly acidic, with some true banana esters, but minimal spice. When swirled, the pungency increases somewhat, giving a sharper, more noticeable estery character, but it's a little one-dimensional overall.

Taste is smooth and pleasant, with a slight kick of phenol and spice on the back to reboot the palate after the long sweetness. Feel is great, extremely smooth and chewy, but light enough to make it quaffable. It's actually not a bad stylistic example on the palate.

Pretty decent Australian-made Hef here. Sure, the Germans still have years and years on us, but this is a solid example of a style that's often done poorly locally.

Pours cloudy amber, dark for the style, small head.
Aromas include wheat, sweet apple, banana and cloves. Aside from the sweet apple this hits the mark. Quite sweet though.
Flavours mirror the aroma, with not so much of that apple character. Very easy-going.
Carbonation is a little high for my liking.

This pours a cloudy golden honey colour with very little head.

Bananas and cloves are there on the nose but are a little muted.

The banana comes through a lot better on the palate. A little bit of sweetness in there as well.

Medium bodied.

This is the third time I have tried this beer and it was definitely better the first two time. It seems to be lacking something in this stubbie.

A better beer than the score indicates I think.

A: Pours a cloudy golden color with a small head that fades quickly to bits of lacing.

S: Aroma of banana and clove with some yeast and grain in the background.

T: taste of banana, very little malt sweetness. Mild bitterness with a slightly sticky finish.

F: Light body, quite smooth and prettdude.

O: Fairly average for the style.

A - Hazy, dark golden colour with a 2cm white head that falls away rather quickly.
S - Clove spice and wheat malt.
T - Also clove spice in the taste and thankfully some banana which should be present in a Hefeweizen. Sweetish malted wheat.
M - Light bodied, pretty high carbonation, almost too high.
D - A nice enough beer just lacking some finesse. Would probably drink again.
