Appearance: After a fancy bubble show the tan head settles in at two fingers; excellent retention and clumpy lacing
Smell: Rich coffee and chocolate aromatics, with some roast and licorice tones
Taste: Coffee forward, with the chocolate emerging; roasty, through the middle, with hints of licorice and blueberry, after the swallow; chocolate, in the finish, with some residual roast and bitterness
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation
Overall: More flavor in this 8.0% stout than in many imperial stouts with double digit ABVs; I note a number of reviews complaining about the mouthfeel but I prefer the lack of body as a trade-off for the lower ABV
Thanks, M_chav, for the opportunity

Was expecting more seeing as the other Marbles brews I've tried have been solid - pours a deep dark brown/black with a tan head, aroma is nutty and roasty with a bite of roast coffee. Flavor and aroma is where this fell off - very thin for an imperial stout, and the coffee flavor was bordering on burnt. Very meh beer.

Served in a snifter at Marble's downtown pub.
A- Finger thick head, quick dissipation. The head is mocha in color and the liquid is pitch black and opaque.
S- Huge aroma of espresso beans with some chocolate, ground coffee, burnt toast.
T- Coffee grounds, burnt toast, chocolate, dark roasted and sweet malts, dark chocolate.
M- More carbonation than I'd expect, slightly acidic, very, very coffee-like. I'd actually like a bit thicker, maltier mouthfeel, but this is still good.
A huge coffee presence on this beer, this is for coffee lovers first, then beer drinkers. Tasty.
