Served in a snifter at the brewery. I hate the name of this beer. Seems like a science experiment or an FBI file, but that's my only beef.
Creamy, fluffy oatmeal-colored head a finger and a half thick. Abundant lace and a frothy, cappucino-like quality to it. Particularly with the dark abyss of liquid that lies beneath. 5
Dark chocolate, vanilla, cacao nibs. Hints of dark roast coffee. 4.25
Barrel qualities somehow hid on the aroma but pop up on the palate. Dark chocolate continues but there's a moderate bourbon spice. Excellent vanilla and oak. 4.25
Light- to medium-bodied with a slightly booze-like quality. Feels roasty and the finish is semi-dry. Sweetness is there but mellow. 4.25
Marble doing what they do best, making awesome beers. I was planning to get a growler of this for Thanksgiving as I drank this and that's a damn good idea.
