For a style that I do not prefer, this is good.

Served in a Munique glass at the brewery. Released on tap in January of 2015.
Starts with a half finger of foamy, oatmeal-colored head. Body is dark brown bordering on black with a heavy opacity. 4.25
Smells heavily of fruit, some citrus but mostly prunes, cherries and dates. Heavy floral notes and light sweetness. 4
Grapes are the first thing I think of with the first sip. Floral with subtle injections of caramel, it reminds me a tad of an eisbock or old ale for the syrupy wine qualities. 4
No alcohol burn. Wine-like and yeasty, but still rich, thick, heavy on the caramel feel. Deceptively easy to drink. 4.25
Big surprise, more excellence from Marble. Don't sleep.
