Served at the Santa Fe Taproom in a 16 ounce goblet.
Light oatmeal-colored head and sticky lace streaking upwards to the rim. Perfectly black body providing a marked contrast. 4.5
Deep and full coffee dominate the aroma but are accompanied by dark chocolate, vanilla and caramel. It smells so much more like coffee than beer and I'm more than fine with that. 4.5
Essentially everything the nose offered is also found on the palate. Potent coffee, hell it's probably espresso, meet chocolatey notes and sweet creamy caramel. Coffee lingers in the mouth much like a cup of Joe would. 4.25
Despite tasting and smelling identical to coffee, this brew has a vigorous carbonation, rich creaminess and a light dose of bitterness that make for an excellent-drinking beer. Sweetness here gives this a sensation akin to adding a flavored creamer to a coffee. 4.25
Damn, damn, damn. This is damn good. I pray they bottle this and make it somewhat regular.
