Strong ale in wine barrels? Hint of chocolate as well. Like a porter/Belgian strong mix.

On tap at brewery. Dark, light bodied brew, inky black with spare head. Added as a strong ale, as I didn't know what to expect. Woody, peaty aroma, reminiscent of a Scottish. Taste leans towards Belgian territory, quads and dubbels. Pit fruit and raisins. Yet, light lagerish body. Tasty and intriguing.

Pours a deep ebony color with a tight, tan head that leaves little chunks of lacing.
Smells of roasted notes mostly with some brown sugar to it.
Tastes of the roasted notes along with some barrel and oats. Roasted notes lead off with a bit of chocolate leading into sweet brown sugar. Dark fruit notes come next with raisins and figs. Touches of coffee and roasted bitterness come towards the middle as well as some oak notes. This gives way to some oat nuttiness before a slightly sweet finish.
Mouthfeel is medium-full with a smooth amount of carbonation.
Overall, this is tasty. A well put together beer with plenty of complexity to it,

This is a very interesting Imperial Stout and Oatmeal Stout blend featuring an aroma and taste of dried fruit and blueberry. I was the one adding it as an American Strong Ale, that's the closest style I could find. I love blueberry. This is a one time brew but if it becomes popular they said they would brew it continuously. It is very good so I think that it will be so. I couldn't upload the picture.
