Pours a clear garnet color with a tight, off-white head that leaves chunks of lacing.
Smells of toasted, caramel malt layered with some herbal hops.
Tastes of the toasted malt layered with a bit of hops. Malt leads off with notes of toffee, caramel, and toasted bread. Supported by a moderate amount of sweetness. Hops add in towards with some earthy and herbal notes with a touch of bitterness. Finishes fairly clean with a slight lingering hop note.
Mouthfeel is medium-full with a smooth amount of carbonation.
Overall, this is a tasty red that leans towards the malty side but strikes a pretty good balance overall.
