This beer is for the 80th Anniversary edition, has an ABV of 5.7%, and has the following notes from the brewery: This year’s State Fair beer is a deliciously drinkable pale ale featuring classic American hop varieties such as Crystal, Cascade & Amarillo honoring 80 years of the fair!
Hazy yellowish-orange body topped with a thick, foamy head; excellent rings of lacing ladder the glass. The aroma blends elements of fruit and citrus with a light cereal grain scent. Dull citrus flavor mixed with a well-balanced hop bitterness; notes of orange and red grapefruit; light biscuit malt. Medium-heavy body; crisp and prickly on the palate; mostly dry overall.
A very fine, mildly tart, bitter, and malty beer that drinks easily.
