12oz can poured into Duvel tulip. BEST BY 0?/06/202? smudged on the bottom of the can. I'm guessing it's trying to say Sept, 6 2021? If so this would have another 4 months in it.
Appearance - Pours large 3 finger off-white head with decent retention and decent patchy lacing and stick. Slightly hazy light amber-brown body. 4.25
Smell - Sweet, floral citrus and fresh spring-time hop. Develops a bit of a dry corn and cardboard as it warms. Maybe a hint of soysauce. Very faintly though. 4.75
Taste - Same bold, unique notes as in the nose. The sweetness provides a very nice rounded balance to the grassy hop that would otherwise feel a little sharp. Slight bitterness in the aftertaste but nothing unpleasant. 4.5
Mouthfeel - Medium to medium-full bodied. 4.5
Overall - A little strong to session, but very drinkable. Pretty solid IPA. 4.5
