12oz bottle into a pint glass. no freshness dating on this one, unlike the other Marble beers I've had recently.

looks great, jet black body, dark tan bubbly head, great lacing.

not getting much on the nose, i can only describe it as "stouty'

taste is roasted malt, some faint coffee tones, and some faint vanilla as the beer warms up.

mouth is between medium and full.

overall, for an oatmeal stout, it's a little roastier and less smooth than this palate would prefer. still quite drinkable though.

Very chocolate intense. Very smooth. Very little bitter. An almost perfect stout.

This beer is about as close to a perfect oatmeal stout as one could get. Super dark with a thin tan head that leaves quickly and reminds you it was there with some nice spotty lacing. The aroma is filled with roasted malts, oats and a faint hint of coffee. The taste of this beer is the same as the nose with nice sweet roasted malt taste as the main flavor with a hint of oats and coffee. A wee bit of dark chocolate appears at the end and seems to be a component of the bitterness. This is a really nice drinking stout.

All brown and black up in this, almost a full inch of tan head on it. Retention is almost too good. Takes forever. Plenty of roasted coffee malt notes, nothing fancy, just deep roast.

Taste is a good mix of thick mouthfeel that isn't obtrusive, chills with you, good use of oats, smoothes things all out. Roast is generous. Good amount of hops in this one. Pretty straight forward and prototypical stuff.

Look: Oh, yes. Nice and dark beer. The head is a rich caramel color and it stays around, even after taking a sip. Excellent looking beer.

Smell: Malts with bit of oats. Fairly good smell.

Taste: Malts mix with chcolate throughout the taste. Maybe a tinge of oats towards the end.

Feel: Great mouth feel. Smooth and rich, although not outstanding in this regard.

Overall: Really good beer! Pleasantly surprised. The look of this beer is top notch.

Served in a 12oz snifter.

Looks good, tastes good. No major complaints. Moderate to full body, smoky roasted malts in the aroma and flavor.

Looks - pours nice black, carbonated body with a light brown head that leaves some lacing on the glass.
Smell - light sent of malt, coffee, with a hint of chocolate.
Mouth feel - very smooth w/ a slightly sharp taste of the roasted malt and coffee that lingers on the palette.

This is a very satisfying beer that's good with food or very drinkable by itself - not an overpowering stout. A fine beer from Marble Brewing of Albuquerque, NM.

A- Dark brown body, not quite black but close. One finger offwhite head, good retention time, a bit of lacing.

S- Milk chocolate, roasted malt, espresso. A bit nutty, even a bit of cocoa. Solid nose.

F- Very drinkable profile of roasted malt, milk chocolate, nuttiness. Not complex but tasty and pleasing without any off-flavours.

M- Medium bodied, silky smooth, good carbonation, super easy to drink.

O- Very easy drinking oatmeal stout with nice body on it. I liked this one a fair amount and would drink it if it were local.

Served in a nonic pint glass at the Santa Fe taproom.

Frothy dark-khaki head a finger and a half thick could be scooped out with a spoon. Body is pitch-black. 5

Delicious dark chocolate and creamy caramel aroma with a floral bouquet. Great smelling brew. 4.25

Bitter dark chocolate is captured here perfectly, along with caramel, coffee and vanilla. The finish has a floral flourish and tinge of resinous hop flavor. 4

Bitter and coffee-like, but with a rich, viscous smooth body, this is an easy-drinker with big taste. 4

I've neglected this beer for two long in my constant quest to try new beers. This could be easily a staple in my fridge if only I could stick to one beer from time to time.
