12oz bottle into a pint glass. no freshness dating on this one, unlike the other Marble beers I've had recently.
looks great, jet black body, dark tan bubbly head, great lacing.
not getting much on the nose, i can only describe it as "stouty'
taste is roasted malt, some faint coffee tones, and some faint vanilla as the beer warms up.
mouth is between medium and full.
overall, for an oatmeal stout, it's a little roastier and less smooth than this palate would prefer. still quite drinkable though.

Very chocolate intense. Very smooth. Very little bitter. An almost perfect stout.

This beer is about as close to a perfect oatmeal stout as one could get. Super dark with a thin tan head that leaves quickly and reminds you it was there with some nice spotty lacing. The aroma is filled with roasted malts, oats and a faint hint of coffee. The taste of this beer is the same as the nose with nice sweet roasted malt taste as the main flavor with a hint of oats and coffee. A wee bit of dark chocolate appears at the end and seems to be a component of the bitterness. This is a really nice drinking stout.
