Made especially for the Independent Salford Beer Festival: Revenge of the Fifth Brewed on keg and served via key keg that retains the real ale marker at Helmsworth House

Had an 8 oz pour at the Hallenbrick nano-brewery and bar. It's a clear ruby color with very little head. Not much for retention and really does not even leave a sheen.
Nose is lots of tropical alcohol and caramel maltiness. Vinous fruit and Nerds candy sweetness.
Taste is pretty much a flavor explosion! Very rich, deeply fruity with a more than ample hop bitterness and flavor. Loads of alcohol and has an imperial red ale feel to it. Certainly big and is drinking a bit rough right now, a year or so in the cellar might work wonders here. I would not be surprised if this beast is over 11%. Pretty equal amounts of hops and malt right now with a strong, burnt caramel lean. Good brew, but I think it is a bit green in its current form.
