This beer had its 2013 debut on October 9 of this year. I have had it on tap several times in the last few days.

The beer looks decent, with a finger of head and a good orangeish/copper hue to it. The head does not persist for very long and leaves only minor lacing.

Smelling the beer, you get a good pumpkin aroma with minimal spice. Immediately, this is a nice contrast to the spice-heavy pumpkin beers that questionably deserve the pumpkin beer status. The same applies for the taste, which is heavy on pumpkin and sweetness, with a subtle maltiness that provides a slight thickness to the beer. The beer is a good middle of the road pumpkin, offering a prominent pumpkin flavor and medium body. It's not the best, yet it holds its own with others in the genre.

Poured into a 22oz glass at the brewery.

A - looks more like a brown or amber, which is good because it likely indicates a heavier body.

S - pumpkin and spice are dominant. A bit of malt sweetness, some brown sugar, tiny bit of hops.

T - Pretty damn good! Pumpkin up front, then allspice, some nutmeg, brown sugar, then some vanilla and more spice on the back.

M - outstanding! Perfect amount of body. The inside 0f my mouth has a slight tingle from the pumpkin and spice. Finishes extremely smooth and creamy.

D - I can, and will, drink this the whole time I'm here, as well as take a growler home. The balance of pumpkin and other flavors is spot-on, so it's not overwhelming in any direction. Great beer for the season!
