I had this gem at the brewery while passing through over the holidays. My experience with the Hersbrucker hop up to the point had been in subtly hopped lagers and weissbiers, but this beer was in the same league as some of the great extra-hoppy German pils. The Herbruckers were explosively piney with black pepper, lemon grass, and resiny notes that stood out against the clean, grainy malt background. I would die for more beers like this available locally - lowish ABV, smooth but with tons of flavor, and endless quaffability. Well done all around.
