From Web site: Steel Valley Stout
Bronze medal winner at the World Beer Championships. This classic stout is dry, brisk, richly bodied with a deep black color showing flavors of roasted espresso and dark chocolate. Utilizes seven different malts
O.G.: 14.5 Plato, IBUs: 35, ABV: 6.2%

Had this on tap at Ohio Brewing Company/Damon's Grill in downtown Akron about 10 hours ago. Poured into a clean, clear mug glass.

A A really nice appearance with a classic stout midnight black body and a nice, creamy generous head that slowly developed and completed over a period of a few minutes after it was delivered to my place at the bar.

S Nice smell. I note coffee, chocolate and burnt malt, all expected and all pleasing.

T Nice stout. All of the above mentioned smells come throught in the taste and also a tad of bitterness from distant hops. This, much like the other offerings from Ohio Brewing, has a watery endfeel which was not the greatest. All taste dissapears within about 45 seconds.

M Nice and smooth, again as I expected and I was not let down.

D Good for this style due to its nice smells, tastes and mouthfeel.

Notes: This is my favorite beer from Ohio Brewing Company, an establishment that is trying their hardest but has a lot of room for improvement.

A - Dark, earthen tones with a thick, creamy, yet relatively short-lived head.

S - Rich coffee aromas with a hint of roasted nuts

T - Semi-sweet chocolate flavors with mild coffee aftertaste

M - Somewhat of a heavy body, but not overwhelming

D - Very smooth; goes down easier than your average stout

I enjoyed this stout very much. It was somewhat reminiscent of Murphy's pub draught as far as drinkability.

16 oz. on draft in a pint glass.

A - Dark Dark brown with a thick dense head that was really thin bubbles and was really creamy.

S - Rich chocolate and malt smells.

T - Chocolate and coffee hit you first then you catch the slight bitter. After the initial flavor it gets quite watery.

M - medium bodied with good carbonation.

D - I was not impressed. Stout's are my favorite style of beer so I may be a little over critical but the finish was way to watery.

Extremly dark brown, this beer is practically black. The head was wonderful 2 finger dark tan. This beer looked like it should be in a picture and the head lasted and was so thick that I looked like I was doing a milk mustache commercial.

The smell was not bad, coffee roast and malt.

Taste is a creamy malt, roasted coffee, hint of sweet chocolate, slight earty hop taste late, and finishes a little bitter and suprisingly dry.

Pretty decent brew.
