a - pours an auburn hue; head is two fingers of red/tan foam with minimal lacing
s - immediate odor of malted hops, blended with hints of wheat and other grains
t - hops are well balanced by a mild, malty aftertaste
m - cool and crisp, with medium carbonization
d - can put down one after another of these
This Irish Red is sassy like a lassie. Beats Killian's hand down.

From web site: Cardinal Ale
World Champion Gold Medal winner at the World Beer Championships at the Beverage Tasting Institute. First of 76 entries. This flavorful, Irish Red Ale has a flavorful nutty finish with hints of fruity undertones. Brewed with pale and caramel malts and bittered with the finest hops available.
O.G.: 12 Plato, IBUs: 25, ABV: 5%
On tap at Ohio Brewing Company/Damon's Grill in downtown Akron last night. Poured into a clean, clear mug glass. Review from notes.
A Basic thin amber body with 1 cm head which dissipated in a minute or so. Head is light brown. Minimal to no lacing on glass after drinking.
S Very thin smelling non-sweet malt. What smell there is was a basic red ale. No hops bitterness to the nose imo.
T Uninspiring malt taste. I did not pick up too much of the hops mentioned in the desrpition. Thin aftertaste as the beer taste just kind of dissapears from your mouth after you swallow it. In that way it is not unlike water.
M Fair mouthfeel with non sweet malt taste and that thin watery end feel.
D Not good due to uninspiring taste.
Notes: Another false start from Ohio Brewing Company imo. Again, this is just a forgettable beer.
