Cask dispense into a UK half pint pot at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham Feb '12.
Pours a ruby black colour (dark chestnut brown held to the light) with a small tan head.
Roasted malts on the nose and a little dried fruits and coffee.
Taste wise, again roasted malts, a little coffe and chocolate and a smidgen of raisens/dried fruit.
Medium bodied stout with a dry aftertaste. The final 'lip smack' of the aftertaste brought a root beer/germoline flavour to me !!!
Overall - OK - not a world beater, would have again no qualm's but would look to seek out other stouts first!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
