From XXXII. In Teku glass. Watching Adele's Life. First cannabis beer i like. Cannabis touch soft and provides a nice herbal taste and aroma. High ABV well hidden. Good body, creamy feeling

"Cannabis Power", as brewed by the German brewery, Eurobrau in Rothenburg
33 cl. green glass bottle, "Best Before 05.12.15" which is 1 week away.
Firstly, I believe this beer is contracted, and brewed at several breweries at once, or just swapped about, but I don't know.
The "cannabis" is, of course, a gimmick and it's not listed on the label. "Hopfenextrakt", however, is.
It's a decent golden stark bier at 8% with a nice malt component and no interference from the alcohol, but it's not much more. It's not hoppy, but neither is it sweet. There is something unusual and "herbal" in the nose, and perhaps that's where the hopfenextrakt comes in - but it's not coming from cannabis.
In the end this is a beer for college kids touring around Europe having a good time with too much money to spend and no sense of what quality is. For them the 8% should do it (and it is malty sweet and easy to drink), but there are better bocks out there.
