This golden ale decants a deep straw and pours a billowing and frothy bleached white cap. I see nice head retention here which speaks to the excellent quality of the ingredients used.
The aroma is quite nice. Refreshing zesty hops, mint leaves, fresh pear, a bit of citrus too.
The flavour profile is a perfect match for summer on a patio. Sweet fruit (pears) pair up well with the acidic citrus (lemon) and the floral hops (saaz). A bit of anise follows towards the finsih.
An interesting take on a summer ale. The refreshing aspects of a lager (crisp, saaz freshness and bitterness), combined with the fruitiness of an ale. Medium bodied, full flavours that embrace a desired summer quench.

Pale gold/yellow in colour, with a white cap. Some lacing. Nothing special.
Smells sort of grassy and citrusy. Herbal hops is detectable. Not much grain.
Hoppier than I expected, with biscuity grains and some light fruit. Average.
Light mouthfeel, overly carbonated. At least it goes down easy though ...
When will "light beer" brewers start bringing down the beer's ABV instead of the residual carbs? This wasn't bad, but it was too thin. I'd rather have a 2.5% light beer that tastes just like real beer than a 4% beer that tastes like a decent imitation.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
