My utmost thanks to my local, in-person trader, tone77, for hooking me up with one of these! I have no idea how he scored it, but I am happy to give it a whirl.
From the 440 ml bottle: "Smooth. Balanced. Refreshing. Our Pre-Prohibition Lager is inspired by craft brewer John Jack Black."; "An all malt lager slow brewed with only the finest natural ingredients."; "Original Session Lager"; "Original Gravity 1.050[,] IBU's 24".
I Pop!ped the cap & began a nice, slow, gentle pour into an awaiting glass. Once I had decanted a sufficient amount, I gave it an in-glass swirl to raise two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, eggshell-white head with decent retention, slowly falling away to wisps. Color was a Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7) with NE-quality clarity, prompting a visit from The Gelt Gang of Midas, Mammon & Croesus, clamoring for a taste. Nose was bready with a grassy hoppiness. I am so excited to be drinking a clean, adjunct-free lager! Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was more biscuity than bready, with a honey-like sweetness and a grassy/hay-like hoppiness. Mmm. Finish was semi-dry and very refreshing coming home on a humid evening after second shift work. The hops and malts really worked well together to evoke memories of summers spent at my maternal grandparents place, abutting a working farm. I could definitely drink more of this! I am very curious to try The Lumberjack tomorrow.

My first beer from South Africa. Hell yeah! Poured from a brown 14.8 oz. bottle. Has a golden color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of malts, light grains. Taste is clean, malts, grains, a touch of sweetness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a highly refreshing beer I could easily consume several of.

Poured a clear, clean golden color. Scent is of wheat grass. Light in the mouthfeel with a light Euro/pale lager feel with no skunky aftertaste and a very little bitterness as cold. Bitterness dissipated as it warmed. Nothing worthwhile to talk about but a very drinkable beer I would try again, especially from halfway around the world to me.

Really well-balanced lager, the hops and malt register clearly and cleanly; nothing overpowers. Typical lager weight, but fully flavored for the type. Could drink all day. Not so easy to find this style so well-executed.

A very clean, well made Helles Lager. Among the best beers I had during our visit.

The Jack Black Classic Lager poured a clean clear golden color with fizzy white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent carries a bitter grass-like scent. The taste has a biscuit base with sharp saaz hop pop....grass, wet maize. The mouthfeel is light in body with good carbonation. Overall this is a solid session beer that can be enjoyed year round.

340ml bottle 5,0% Abv
Appearance: Clear, golden coloured body with a good looking white head that lasts pretty well (for a lager) and leaves some decent lace.
Smell: Mmmm, it is great to smell a pale lager with no adjuncts and skunkiness. The nose is simple, yet clean and very pleasing. Pale malt dominates, however the grassy, slightly bitter hops are far from forgotten.
Taste: As with the smell, the flavour is simple and clean - as a pale lager should be. Pale malt again dominates, but the grassy hops come through well in the finish for a good, slightly bitter finish.
Mouthfeel: Fairly light body (though far from watery), with moderate/high level of carbonation. Perfect for the style and very refreshing.
Drinkability: Great simple lager, refreshing and perfect for a hot summer's day. I will most certainly be having this again.
