On tap at the Holy Grail as part of the pub’s Texas Independence celebration. The beer pours a hazy orange color with an off-white to tan head. The aroma has a nice bit of oak, with some banana and toffee notes also thrown in. Smells about how I expected it to. The taste is not as good as the aroma. I get a lot of toffee and banana notes, but there is also a lot of sugar in the taste that reminds me of circus peanuts. I get a little bit of oak and some clove characteristics, but the main thing in the flavor is an overbearing sweetness. Medium, creamy mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
