I wanted to get another in this evening, but since I don't have the stamina to really delve into NBS that way that I had hoped, I am simply going to veer away from Free Will until next Sunday & have one in furtherance of The CANQuest (tm) before retiring for the evening.
From the CAN: "A Giant Killer NE IPA"; "Liquid Art"; "Passionately Brewed & CANned in Chambersburg, PA".
I did some in-CAN agitation before proceeding to the Crack! since it was labeled as an "NE IPA"& therefore clarity was not at issue. I went with a steady C-Line Glug since clarity was not a CANcern, only to see it foam up mightily, forming two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, bone-white head with excellent retention. Color was a cloudy Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7). Nose was very tropical, quite juicy, rather sweet with just a hint of grapefruit citrusiness. This was all appropriate for the style, but not really my bag. Onward! Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was very juicy, but more towards a grapefruit/orange/tangerine citrus blend than tropical. Hmm. Finish was dry and citrusy more than simply bitter. It was not a bad example of the style, but it just was not my bag, as previously mentioned. YMMV.

On tap, served in a pint glass.
L---Cloudy, bright yellow color. Medium head with no retention and no lacing.
S---Sweet. Citrus fruit orange & grapefruit.
T---Cloyingly sweet. Tastes like a mix of orange Juice and grapefruit juice. I would never have guessed that this was beer in a blind tasting.
F---Um...juicy. What else.
O---I just don't think that NEIPAs are for me. The 1980s had Bartle & James. 2019 has NEIPAs. Just stuff for teenage girls who are deathly afraid of the taste of alcohol.

Great beer with excellent NE hop profile. The one had was slightly under carbonated but still very worthy of a good rating!
