16oz can into a glass. Canned 5/28/20, so 5 months old.

Looks pretty good in the glass. Such a dark brown as to be almost black. Small tan head shrinks to a ring and faint covering. No lacing though.

Only a faintly musty malty aroma on the nose.

Well, it tastes quite good. Its not particularly dry, there is a sweetness wafting in and out. Decent roast to this one. Malty good. Not getting any chocolate, smoke, or coffee, perhaps age related.

Mouth between medium and full, finish a sweet roast

Overall, an enjoyable enough drink. Coffee, chocolate or smoke would have pushed it past a 4, so perhaps I should seek put a fresher can next time.

Plain and simple, this is a good, dark brew. Nice smell, solid taste

Dark, dark drown, borderline black appearance. Leaves plenty of foam after each sip. Smell of earth combinations and hints of coffee, overall a smokey charcoal like smell. Very smooth on the palate, good combination of bitter and a dry sweet aftertaste. A heavy combination overall, a solid meal porter. Overall I find Roy Pitz to be typically not great, but this porter is very good, definitely worth a try.
