.5 litre brown plastic bottle with unbranded plastic screw-top acquired at a Shop and Go supermarket in Bucharest and served cold into an unbranded bierkrug in me friend's gaff there. Reviewed live. Expectations are below average given the presentation and format. "Noroc Blonda." 4.5% ABV. 10.2 degrees plato. Best before: 03/09/2014.
Side-poured with standard vigor as no carbonation issues are anticipated.
No bubble show forms as it's poured.
HEAD: One finger wide. Off-white colour. Okay complexion and consistency. Decent thickness. Leaves no lacing as it recedes. Average (~2 minute) retention.
BODY: Clear translucent pale copper of average vibrance. No yeast particulate or hop sediment is visible.
Appears adequately carbonated. It doesn't look unique or special, but there are no obvious egregious flaws.
AROMA: A light plain aroma of generic helles malt sweetness. I pick up on nothing else. Very light, weak, bland, and boring.
TASTE: Has a rounded taste of plain helles malts with some honey-like sweetness and pleasant graininess. It's very simple, but enjoyable if boring.
TEXTURE: Smooth, wet, well-carbonated, light-bodied, and a biteen syrupy and thick.
Not oily, gushed, hot, astringent, harsh, rough, or scratchy.
Texture suits the taste okay.
OVERALL: Downable but boring and bland. It's a passable brew at this price point, but I definitely wouldn't buy it again. A very rudimentary Romanian blonde brew.

Had this in a plastic bottle, can and also glass bottle. This review is for the plastic and can versions. The bottled one was just slightly better. Very pale color with almost no head. Aroma is just vile, I can’t even describe it. Something like a fermented orange. Taste is even worse: like an aspirin pill dissolved in water. Only one sip was enough for me. Just stay away from this one. I can’t imagine how a beer could be worse then this one.
