Re reviewing after a Heineken...fairly impressed with Bergenbier's creations so far...they seem much better than United and Ursus.
As you take the lid off the bottle, the distinguished aroma of Beck's hops already is prominent. Looks great, pretty good head. Colour is not too pale. Though the head dies down fairly fast.
Not particularly similar to the German brewed Becks. For me Becks is a little bit of an underrated beer, due to it's commerciality, people like to dislike it. It's far better than Heineken usually for example. The hops of Becks are really amazing, and I wish that they would make an IPA version.
Mouth feel is best straight from the bottle or can. For me with pilsners or light lagers, straight from the bottle or can is usually best.
Bergenbier have done an ok attempt here. This is superior to the other beers in the same price range brewed by Ursus and United. However I think that Heineken Romania is better. This needs more hops. It's a bit too thin and effervescent and doesn't have the mouth feel or hops of the German version.
