Had this on tap in a snifter glass at Popeye in Ryogoku, Tokyo. Amber hue with no head. A mango and orange twisted hop scent with the taste to match. Very strong beautiful hop flavor with a fruity twist in the aftertaste. This is a lovely IPA with real flavor to back it up. Loved it! Preston has some really amazing brews, and this one is one of my new favorites! Try it if you can!

A- caramel brown. Poured in a sniffer glass.
S- miso smell, citrus and hops as well.
T- I like the taste , the yeastiness reminiscence of blue cheese. The beer would pair very well with a flavorful cheese.
M- hops and yeast stay on the mouth.
O- this is a good second batch. I'm sitting next to baba kan now I'm sure the third batch will be better.
Bobsy: I heard that the first batch was better.

Pint at Popeyes, which was a bit of a surprise because I thought I'd only ordered a glass. Fortunately it was a kick ass surprise because the beer turned out to be awesome and as sessionable as you could hope from a double ipa.
Hazy amber body with an off-white head that gave up some lace and had decent retention. Full on juicy citrus nose lets you know this is as west coast as Japan gets. Strong citrus flavours, primarily ripe tangerine, but with splashes of orange and grapefruit. Nice juciness and a good caramel base. Bitterness is listed as 83 IBUs and you can feel it. Body and carb are both medium, but seem to be very refreshing on this hot evening.
I didn't expect much from Preston, but ended up impressed by a well-balance double ipa.
