Huge body and clean finish, tons of banana. One of the better brews from Sweetwater. I remember this being stronger than 6.8% too, but pretty smooth to drink.

This is awful.
I mean this is the second most awful beer I've ever had the displeasure of tasting. I ended up pouring half of it out, and I regret that I didn't pour the whole thing out after just one taste. It's just awful. Oh God.

On tap at the Brick...this beer tasted like a banana flavored nail polish remover.
Beer is a gradient of colors from amber to brown (seems like the beer is settling in my glass). Its hazy and has very low carbonation and nearly no head.
Aroma is STRONG like bananas and bubblegum and long chain alcohols. There is a solvency to this beer that is really off putting. Very off putting.
Beer is sweet and hot and solventy on the palate and has a strong banana and bubblegum flavor. A few things, this beer was fermented too hot or they did not do a proper acid rest with it. This beer has the wrong malt character for a weizenbock and has nothing on the finish. There is a horrid aftertaste that I keep tasting 10, 20, 30 minutes later, bubbleyum and bananas. GROSS!!!

On tap at The Brickskeller on December 9, 2010. Apparently not retired, as this was a freshly-made weizenbock.
Pours a super cloudy light copper color without any head or lacing. The nose immediately brings forward some banana-flavored nail polish remover along with loads of fusel alcohol. A combination of banana and booze that smells like some sort of banana liqueur.
The taste is just as bad with just strong, strong notes of fusel alcohol along with a bit of banana. No notes of clove or bubblegum. Something went quite array with the yeast here. Body is medium with a straight alcohol finish. Not a huge fan of this. Apparently the recipe is up to 8.6% alcohol now.

Consumed from a Growler purchased the previous day. Pours out a dark cloudy orange body with a tall cream colored frothy head. All sorts of rings, clumps and webs of lacing were left decorating the glass. Huge nose packed full of fruity sweet bananas. Some spiciness and toasty malts as well. Flavor has more big banana flavors with some spicy backing. Toasty bread notes add to the banana bread like flavor. Long lasting spicy banana aftertaste. Just about full bodied as you can get and very smooth going down. The growler went down with ease even though the board had it at 8%. An excellent example of the style that held nothing back. Now if only they can make some more brew like this and the High Desert.

Murky bronze color with a nice beige head and good carbonation throughout. Big fruity banana aroma with a touch of cloves. Same flavors as aroma with light alcohol on the finish and a touch of figs. Medium-full bodied, fluffy and creamy smooth but has a strange lightly harsh finish.
