Decent dark lager, nothing special, but clean and easy to drink.

Tasted On-Tap 04/19/05 at the Sterling, VA location.
Nice clear light brown color with a subdued beige head. Nice balanced aroma and flavor of caramel and chocolate with some nut character. Light-medium (leans light) bodied with a light roasty dry finish.
Very easy drinking session brew. Should have gotten this growler instead of the Maibock.

Slightly hazy auburn hue. Thin, but sticky off white head leaves sparse lace. Softly toasted Munich and light caramel in aroma, along with a hint of buttery carob. Subdued floral hop nose. Firm, chewy, toffeeish sweetness upfront in flavor yields to rounded, moderate hop bitterness slightly above the norm. Toasty Munich and stately, nutty melanoidins surface mid palate and persist. Softly herbal hop flavor. Crisp, light on the palate, yet dextrinous and smooth. Finishes mostly dry, with fleeting hints of bready malt. Well balanced. Malt driven, but very well hopped. Tasty, indeed!
