BA has this listed as retired, but I picked up a bottle from a local bottle shop today in Joburg with a 2012/11/30 date on it.

Pours extremely carbonated with a lot of head that quickly goes down. I poured slowly to try to keep yeast settled but couldn't pull it off. It looked like sea monkeys with all the carbonation.

Nice yellowy color, fruity smell. The bottle calls itself "refreshing," and that's the right word for it. Not the best beer for the middle of winter, as it is right now, but this would go great with some grilled meat and sunshine.

Super drinkable and a good bubbly feel. Recommended against a sea of nondescript African beer.

340ml bottle bought from GapWines, Belfast...

Poured a hazy pale golden colour - quite wheat beer like in appearance.... White head poured quite thick and foamy and a steady stream of carbonation bubbles kept a decent covering throughout... some patchy lacing...

Aroma is all a little washed out... Very grassy and floral, summery fruits (oranges, pears, light gooseberries), some rubbery notes, light soapiness, sea salt traces, pale malts, peppery hops, fresh countryside smell - some manure ? Light raw nuts..

Taste - Again quite grassy and floral with some light honey sweetness coming through, some vanilla, decent fruitiness (apples, pears, light limes), some chalkiness, faint biscuity malts, salty notes, light peppery and citrusy hop bitterness..

Feel - Pretty sharp and dry... light bodied... pretty refreshing and quaffable at only 4%...

Overall - A decent enough blonde ale - nothing mind blowing but pretty drinkable on a hot summer day... definitely worth a try...
