Poured into a pint glass from a growler freshly filled from the source. The pour is light amber in color with a hint of haze and lacks a caramel color I feared from the description, in a good way. A light cap of foam settles to a ring but can be reborn with some agitation.
Aroma is slightly danky pinous more than citric in nature and was evident from above when pouring from the growler. Classic centennial bite with a hint of Cascade fruitiness is well balanced. Taste follows with a hop driven texture up front and a coarse bready finish with a nice punch of bitterness, yet not overly grating in that sense. Bit of citric oil on the finish gives a sense of sweetness and thickens the body somewhat. Overall a welcome addition to the portfolio.

Worst of both worlds: citrusy with excess bitterness.

1 finger head. Great look. I wish this beer was unfiltered. Taste is hoppy and bitter definitely taste the coriander. Nice drinkable beer

On tap at the Smoking Goat in SD, into a tall pilsner type glass
A: Goldish amber, nice 1 finger head
S: Hoppiness balanced with some biscuity malt; hard for me to get a great read on the hop profile from the aroma: they beckon, but what are we working with? Restrained citrus (not too juicy) and some mineral notes.
T: Good stuff. The malt provides a nice backbone, but this is primarily about the hops which are nice and bitter but not overpowering. Tangelo, some apricot, some resin, and some nice earthy/mineral notes that I really like.
M: Very quaffable, pleasantly bitter, not too dry, good carbonation.
Overall: hard to be an IPA in Southern California, I imagine... Nonetheless, I quite enjoyed this one. Somewhere in between an English and an American IPA. Legit!

Carbonation appeared excellent with nice pour and head but feel was a bit heavier than I would have guessed and didn't finish as well as I would have liked. Overall a very good take on a WC IPA though with controlled citrus and different hop bite. Enjoyed it quite a bit.
