An unexpected gift form a very nice mother-in-law...

A - Almost two fingers worth of lush light khaki colored audibly fizzy froth... The head can be seen actively receding turning both a bit rockier and a bit creamier as it settles into a full veil of lacing... The color is a light caramel brown... A moderate bit of carbonation rises throughout with bubbles in pacts and others individually... A decent enough looking brew...

S - Sweet pumpkin too start... Brown sugar... Sweet potatoes... Caramel... Molasses... Sort of one dimensional, but that's okay because this has one of the best aromas for a pumpkin ale that I've ever encountered...

T - Still a bit of a malt bomb on the palate but there are additional layers of depth and complexity... Sweet potatoes... Brown sugar... Caramel... Some marshmallow... Undertones of bread and biscuit... Subtle hints of spice can be detected on the deep finish in the form of cinnamon and nutmeg... Some earthy wood notes on the finish as well...

M - On the fuller side of medium bodied... Dense and lush... Moderate carbonation... Even and consistent... Smooth and goes down easily...

D - There is no official indication, but I'm thinking that this is brewed with sweet potatoes rather than actually pumpkin... That makes the aroma and flavor profile burst with sweetness... Insanely quaffable (almost wish I hadn't shared this bottle with the wife)... If this was readily available this one would be part of the annual pumpkin rotation... My mother-in-law took a shot in the dark with this one and hit a home run... If you're able to find this one, I strongly suggest checking it out... Very nicely done by a brewery that I didn't even know existed...
