Breakfast with Churchill, now in Nitro cans!
You don't lead England through WWII and get named The Greatest Briton of All Time without making the absolute most of every day. For The Old Man, that meant starting with breakfast where he would eat, drink, smoke, dictate speeches, read 8 papers, and hold his morning meeting.
Our Oatmeal Stout is full of roasty smooth dark chocolate notes and balanced bitterness. With the addition of freshly roasted Colombian Coffee from our good friends at Glenn Edith in Rochester, it's a perfect start, or finish, to your day.
Malts:2-Row, Oats, Roasted Barley, Chocolate Malt, Crystal 55
Hops: Bravo, East Kent Golding
Special Ingredients: 1.8lb/bbl Colombian Coffee from Glen Edith
Album Pairing: We'll Meet Again - Vera Lynn
Food Pairing: Poached Egg, Toast, Jam, Coffee and Milk, Grapefruit, Whisky, Cigar.

Pours dark. Creamy foam. Malty aroma. Big roasted coffee and chocolate body. Slightly bitter. Very smooth. Excellent.

Poured from a 16 oz can, dark with a creamy head that lingers nicely. Taste is very smooth, creamy, and well balanced. Perhaps not the most extreme and exciting version of this style, but a very drinkable flavorful stout.

16 ounce can, 09/01/18 stamped on the bottom. Not sure if it's a canning on or best before date. Can says 7.5% ABV. Served in a nonic pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch and a half creamy tan head that stuck around a while. There's also a good amount of lacing. The aroma is nice but a bit subtle at first, but it does get stronger as the beer warms. The brew smells like bittersweet chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and some oats. Taste is similar to the aroma but stronger in comparison. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's creamy and easy to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good overall brew, glad I got to try it! Thanks to my buddy Denis for picking this up for me recently.

Look- pours black with a 2 finger dense nitro head
Smell- coffee, biscuity and lightly roasted malts, a little chocolate
Taste- strong espresso, dark chocolate and a mildly bitter roasty note
Feel- medium bodied and very creamy from the nitro
