This beer is lovely and strong on its own. But the secret power is in "together". With its partner beer, it creates something greater than the sum of its parts. Even more beautiful, maybe, is in the act of blending. 50/50? 75/25? Take a sip of one, top it off with the other? Make up whatever suits you. Odds are, the exact blend you have created has never been made before. Take a moment to ponder that one. In the history of time, no one has ever had the beer you are holding. The same goes for blending lives, loves, friendships, and ideas. That's the real beauty of blending, sharing yourself, being open to taking in partts of someone else to create something even greater. Do not spare the world of your blends. Enjoy your art.

This beer is packages with an intriguing concept. It is sold as a mixed four-pack with "Yours". The stated intention is for "Mine" and "Yours" to be blended together. Presumably in equal proportion. "Yours" is a Stout-American. What follows is a review of each on its own merit, and then as a 50% blend.

Look:
Mine - is almost clear, candy apple red, with no head. There is a viscus
film on the Pretentious Beer Glass Co. pint glass.
Blended (4) - is almost clear dark cola. Again, no head, while the film is
markedly thinner and less clinging to the glass.

Smell:
Mine - has a sweet/sour fruit punch aroma of cherry, raspberry, and
strawberry. There is a distinct dustiness.
Blended (3.5) - the sour berries are softened, yet still present. Chocolate
and malt dominate the background.

Taste:
Mine - is sweet, as suggested by the aroma, with light sourness being
elevated. There is a modest brine, with raspberry and strawberry,
while the cherry is gone. The finish is long and modest.
Blended (3.25) - the sourness is diminished while bitterness is added.
The finish takes-on a medicinal cherry flavor which strengthens
with warmth.

Feel:
Mine - has a surprisingly modest body and soft fluffy texture. Presence
of alcohol is well above expectations, and the carbonation is high.
Blended (3.75) - brings on a medium body and slick, silky texture.
Carbonation is modest, and alcohol is more in line with the stout's
reported 6.3% abv.

Overall Impression:
Mine - is a decent fruity wild ale. While enjoyable as an aperitif, I don’t
see another suitable occasion to have this beer.
Blended (3.75) - is also good, and a fun experiment. However there
was no special transformation as hoped, or frankly as advertised.

Blended Total Score (3.5 - B-).

As an aside, I played around with different proportions, and found the higher ratio of Stout to be more to my personal liking, than the straight "Mine" or the 50% blend.

Pours a dark rosé red with lively, bubbly carbonation that fades away to nothing. A mild fruit jam aroma. Tart and sweet flavors with a strong raspberry component. Medium-heavy body; acidic; weighty sweetness throughout.

This is one of two beers created by War Horse (the other is 'Yours', a chocolate stout) that, according to both cans, are meant to be blended together. As a standalone fruit sour, this seems rather heavy handed although the taste sure matches the description, but the other components of the beer experience are fairly lame.
