Well, I told you that if we actually found a way to make our Lt. Dan IPA even better, we would can it. And I am a man of my word. But if you think for a second that I am calling the beer "Lt. Dan," you got another thing comin'. It’s Double Dan. A softer, slightly sweeter side of our “flagship” IPA. You could say the brewers have given it...new legs...

Well, the numbers show that I find this exceptional. The balance of bite and big mouthfeel, the overtones of real passionfruit, the dark haze to the pour, everything is quite right on this one. Too bad it's retired. Buy some if you find it. A real treat.

Pours a thick hazy gold. Sweet hop aroma. Big foam. Big citrus hop body. Fades to nice malt finish. Slight bitterness. Very thick and smooth. I'd enlist this beer anytime.

Double Dan should receive the Metal of Honor of beers. Lieutenant Dan was a true soldier of beers but once they DDH this beer it evolved into an unstopable battle warrior. Double Dan may not look or smell spectacular but you can feel his presence and taste his spectrum of determination to be the best beer in the group. Double Dan will never let you down and always be strong enough at 7.5% and when he is served ice cold he does not stick around with his refreshing but rich flavor he please those who desire a melon flavored NEIPA.
