Secret Broadcast has a sunny, lemon-yellow opalescence glowing from a Pretentious Beer Glass Company dimpled mug called "Sparkles". The two-inch head is pastel white and long lasting.
Citrus perfumes the air around the mug, while lemon, lime, and mango are revealed upon first sip. Earthy pine and grassy hops file in and try to take order. A restless peace follows, and revelry ensues.
As with Theodore, this beer is more bitter than sweet. It is in keeping with the IIPA description without overpowering the mango and earthy hops. Lemoncello seems to come and go just before a long, grassy finish.
The full body and scratchy wool texture are reminiscent of an Irish fisherman's sweater. Alcohol is about as expected without any harshness. Bitterness builds, adding a numbing sensation with warmth. The carbonation is prickly.
This is another Hazy IPA that I would consider more like a Hazy East Coast IPA than a NEIPA. Not that there is anything wrong with that, however, I expect less bitterness and more fruitiness from a NEIPA. This was a four pack which I enjoyed over the course of two weeks in May.

Pours a hazy gold. Thick foam. Big hop aroma. A nice smooth tropical body. Fades to a smooth malty finish with a little bitterness. Very well balanced. Delicious.
