16 oz can, bought at the brewery. dated 8/8/2022 so only about a week old
pours extremely dark brown but not quite black. thick tan colored head. aroma is definitely strongly reminiscent of smores - graham cracker, milk chocolate, toasted caramely marshmallow. taste follows, and is on the sweeter side. fuller bodied.

Pours dark. Tan foam. Sweet chocolate aroma. Oh yeah! Bold chocolate and graham cracker body. A light marshmallow finish. It even tastes a little burnt. I think this is as close to a real s'more as you could get. Well done.

T: Not nearly as sweet as the label might lead you to expect. The coffee and the oatmeal are noticeable. There is certainly something else there, which I would have guessed to be maple, but the label seems to mention everything except maple.
F: I have tended to characterize stouts as either: oily, syrupy, creamy or watery . . . but this one seems to deserve the label 'chewy', which I have seen others used and it always seemed odd to me.
O: OK. It feels like something that hit what it was aiming for, which is a good thing. Not something I would seek out, but I rarely seek out oatmeal stouts so that is not really a negative. :)
